Akinwunmi Ambode has won the governorship ticket under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress

Ambode defeated all other candidate like the speaker of the House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Former Commissioner for Health Dr Leke Pitan, Commissioner for Works, Femi Hamzat and the senate Minority Whip, Ganiyu Solomon.

Akinwunmi Ambode is a 51 year old Accountant and a Public Finance Management Expert.
